A robust, configurable storage engine, Microsoft SQL Server provides your organization with the data integrity and availability necessary to run your critical applications. SQL Server comes in many different flavors from a small desktop version to a 32 Gigabyte powerhouse running on an enterprise server with multiple cluster nodes. Expert Assist can help you with your database needs throughout the software lifecycle from Development, Support, to Upgrade.

Development
Expert Assist programmers have extensive knowledge and experience with SQL databases ranging in size from the small 1 Gigabyte implimentations to VLDB (Very Large Databases) beyone 1 Terabyte in size. We have the skills and knowledge that only comes from experience that lends us the ability to know what design patters work best on SQL server. Our programs typically generate SQL objects on the fly, often self repairing or auto-creating SQL objects so your staff can focus on the application and users instead of the core technology.
- SQL 2000, SQL 2005
- T-SQL
- Access Conversion
- SQL Reporting Services
- View Authoring
- Stored Procedure Authoring

Tuning
As your databases grow with your business, SQL Server often needs a checkup much like your car. These checkups include consistancy checks on the database's physical objects themseves as well as realtime monitoring and tuning with respect to database usage. Expert Assist has developed SQL Scripts that aid us with the tuning process allowing us to maximize results while minimizing the impact on your production database. A typical Tuning session will result in the creation and removal of indexes, implimentation of a reporting database, adjustments to backup schedules, query rewriting, and, in extreme cases, adjustments to the client application to make it's calls more efficient.
- Index Creation/Removal
- Data Aggregation
- Query Rewriting
- Creation of Reporting Database
- Real Time Monitoring and Reactive Scripting
- Application Tuning through Query Rewrite
- Backup Tuning and Optimization Based on Throughput and Availability
