1 · Host itYour Azure tenant

The token server deploys to a small Azure App Service in your tenant. You provide the SKY client details unique to your organization — nothing runs on our infrastructure.

2 · Authorize onceOnce a year

An admin authorizes the app as a Blackbaud SKY API administrator — only one person, once a year. Authorization happens in Blackbaud, and we maintain that token for all your entitled users.

3 · Use it anywherePower BI & more

Entitled users reach the token from Power BI, Power Platform, Excel, and Power Query using their Microsoft Entra account — seamlessly. Azure-deployed apps can authenticate via RBAC.
